Tidal cove cabanas10/5/2023 The service provided by staff is always pleasant and the food is always delicious. We have gone numerous of times over the years since it’s opening. On Saturday, we were enjoying our Saturday afternoon in the waterpark. My review is based on my final day at Tidal Cove at the kids waterpark. I would like to point out that prior to this unfortunate event our stay was going really well. Having felt incredibly ripped off and faced with having our pants pulled down further with lunch, we elected to go elsewhere.īefore I begin with my story. Even if it had been quiet, there simply isn't enough to do or variety at Tidal Cove for more than 3 hours. So, after arriving at 9am, we left before midday and by that point, people were still streaming in. When you are banned from bringing in any of your own food or beverages, that is pretty outrageous pricing. $15 for a tube of Pringles and a packet of chips. The staff appeared mostly disinterested and certainly not prepared to enforce park rules meaning poor behaviour is ignored.Īs for the concessions - wow. This is compounded by the queuing system means that lines for all slides are squeezed into one staircase. The slides we managed to get on were good fun but very short experiences - longest ride available is 30 seconds. Doesn't help that such a place tends to attract some very spoilt brats and their entitled parents who don't seem to understand the concept of a line. When the slides opened, line times were around 5 minutes at most. We arrived as the gates opened at 9am and used the pool whilst we waited for the slides to open at 10am. Certainly steep but you'll get value for that ticket price? Wrong. ![]() Where to begin? Well the ticket price is a good start - $75 per person and that's on one of the quieter days. It is one average-sized hotel pool, one kids area, a collection of 5 slides and the shortest lazy river I've ever seen. To call this place a water park is somewhat disingenuous. The place is finding its feet being new but is worth the day out. They do great food and the service from the staff was great especially Shelsie. We visited mid week so the park was empty so now queueing for slides. The blue slide which is like a capsule is brilliant. We enjoyed the lazy river, all the slides and the Flo rida. Staff are friendly, the place is very clean and the service was very good. This park is a great day out and still gets a 5 star review as we really enjoyed it. On the second visit the only slide which was closed was the big blue one which was a shame but the green and Flo rida were open. We put our luggage into Marriott luggage room. ![]() We then spoke with Ethan who was very good along with his manager Sebastian (I think) who gave us another day entry into the park and the kids ice cream as we should have been advised on entry the park was closing for an event and half the slides were out of service.Īs we were leaving a couple of days (from the UK) it was going to be difficult to allocate another day so we decided to check out of our hotel and spend the last day at tidal. We then found out the park was closing at 1pm. We arrived and found that two slides were not working and the Flo rida was out of service. ![]() It’s not cheap, $75 each including children. So we booked to come to the water park staying in a nearby hotel.
